Neighbor

Each day, I reflect upon a word or a phrase from the readings of the day. I encourage you to do the same and perhaps incorporate that word or phrase into your daily prayer.
“You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself”…he said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” (Luke 10:25-37)

NEIGHBOR: Our neighbors don’t only live in the house next door or work at the desk next to us.

They also live in the mountains of Haiti…

and along the White River near downtown Indianapolis.

From Pope Francis: “Every human person – no matter how vulnerable or helpless, no matter how young or how old, no matter how healthy, handicapped or sick, no matter how useful or productive for society – is a being of inestimable worth created in the image and likeness of God.”
